【Kuching Must Eat】Old Rex Cucur
It’s TEA TIME! Do you know where to find the best Lok Lok in Kuching? The answer is Old Rex Cucur! We from Teaspoon finally had the chance to introduce the foods here to those who have yet to discover it!
Started off 40 years ago at the old Rex Cinema (later abolished to build Medan Pelita) and then moved to Satok 15 years ago, Old Rex Cucur has been serving many happy customers for many many years.
The one that you must order every time you come here is the Shrimp Cake (Xia Bing) that is crunchy one deep fried but not one bit overly oily. Other than that, they also have an array of choices for you to choose from!
Other than snacks, one thing that must go along with a Tea Time is of course the ice desserts! All the ice desserts are are amazingly delicious, but we were in the mood to taste the Metahon and ABC Special. Metahon is what we Kuchingites love to drink other than ABC. This Metahon prepared here is exactly the taste that we all love. The mildly sweet drink coupled with refreshing Lemon slices and cendol is what makes this bowl sooooo satisfying.
If you are a lover of Belacan Beehoon, then we also highly recommend that you try this! And how could you not order an extra piece of century egg to go along the delicious Belacan Bee Hoon?
