[Mmm… Aesthetic Pleasing Food!] @ The Owls Cafe (Kozi Square)

We are constantly on the search for our next hideout from the hustle and bustle of the city. Or perhaps, some of us are just looking for somewhere new to spice up our Instagram feed. Well, you’re in luck because we’ve found an insta-worthy cafe that will charm you with its interior and food.

Hailing from Kuala Lumpur, The Owls Cafe opened its 7th branch in Kozi Square. It’s a beautiful space for locals to connect while enjoying coffee and tea complemented with delicious food. There are no actual owls flying around in the cafe if you’re wondering. The Owls Cafe was founded by a group of friends who are midnight oil burners, hence the name. Interior-wise, we love how the pastel walls make the place look very homey. You will take aesthetically pleasing food photos as well due to the natural light shining in from the glass windows. 

Highly known for their aesthetic waffles in West Malaysia, you must try the “Rebecca” and “David” which were named after two of the founders. We had the “Rebecca” waffle which we absolutely love. The oh-so-fluffy waffle is topped with strawberries, blueberries, and bananas, and garnished with a dollop of Earl Grey ice cream, almond flakes, coconut flakes, and maple syrup drizzle. If you’re a breakfast or brunch person then you’ll find the “Morning Daisy” a hoot. Freshly baked croissant with golden fluffy scrambled eggs is served with mixed green salad and crispy waffle fries. Are you a spaghetti lover? Then go for the “Aglio Olio w/ Seabass”. The spaghetti is tossed with olive oil and aromatic garlic flakes, and topped with pan-seared sea bass fillet and local flavor infused salsa. Another recommended dish would be the “Smoked Salmon Salad”. It’s perfect for salad lovers. The mixed green salad is drizzled with roasted sesame dressing, and topped with soft boiled egg and smoked salmon.
