[Give Dear Old Dad A Treat!] @ Hawker Times

As the old saying goes, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, which probably means the best way to treat Dad is through a meal. As Father’s Day is just around the corner, the chef at Hawker Times has prepared a 6-course dinner menu for all our superman-like fathers to savour on that very special day.
Take note that if you are interested in this Father’s Day Dinner, you will have to call Hawker Times (012-8528988) or send a message to their Facebook Page (Hawker Times) to book 1 day in advance. Reservation starts on 7th June 2019 and the 6-course dinner will be available from 7th June 2019 - 30th June 2019.
The course is priced at RM168 for 6-8 pax, which is perfect for the whole family to gather and celebrate this special occasion over a heartwarming meal of mouth-watering dishes. Pictured below are the dishes that will be served.
[1] Deep Fried Black Pomfret w/ Salted Soybean Sauce (豆豉黑昌)
Simple yet delicious, this crispy fried pomfret glazed with salted soybean sauce is perfect to be eaten with a bowl of steamed rice.
[2] Ginger Scallion Beef (葱爆牛肉) OR Sweet & Sour Pork (酸甜猪肉) *Choose 1*
Ginger Scallion Beef (葱爆牛肉): These tender and aromatic strips of beef stir fried with ginger & scallions and wrapped in thick, sweet and savory sauce will surely whet your appetite.
Sweet & Sour Pork (酸甜猪肉): A delicious Chinese stir-fry dish, these battered pork pieces gets fried until crispy then tossed in a sweet and tangy sauce.
[3] Braised Tofu w/ Vegetable (红烧豆腐扒时蔬)
Who can resist a plate of braised tofu soaking up in a rich, flavorful gravy with assorted vegetables? SO DELICIOUS!
[4] Kai Lan 2 Ways (双味芥兰) OR Blanched Water Spinach w/ Red Wine (红酒猪油捞空心菜)

Kai Lan 2 Ways (双味芥兰): This is a popular Chinese dish that gives you 2 different flavors and textures from one vegetable! Very crispy and delicious!
Blanched Water Spinach w/ Red Wine (红酒猪油捞空心菜): This blanched water spinach cooked with red wine is delicious and perfect to be paired with a bowl of steamed rice.
[5] Sea Cucumber Soup (海参汤)
This sea cucumber soup is a very simple dish that every Chinese family can relate and enjoy. It is not only flavorful but also highly nutritious.
[6] Omelette Pancake (蚝煎)
A sinful indulgence, this crispy “O-Chien” with juicy oysters is incredibly addictive.
