For those of you who rarely visit Matang area, you definitely won’t believe that there’s such a kopitiam here that offers a lot of different types delicious foods that are affordable! Where? Happy Rich Kopitiam that is located behind eMart Matang! And for those of you who’ve tried the foods here, then you’ve most probably seen how full is the place especially during lunch time.

 

 

If you’re staying at Matang area and you’ve yet to try the foods here, I’m telling you that you’ve been missing the chance to out the delicious foods they have for a very long time. If you’re planning to visit Matang Family Park or the Kubah National Park this coming long weekends, make your way here for a satisfying lunch!

 

Since they are open as early as 6 in the morning, Happy Rich is also an ideal spot for delicious breakfast~~~ And let’s not forget how clean and spacious the place is!

 

 

Now, let Teaspoon show you some, only some, of the tons of delicious foods that they have in store for you. Ready?

 

As a Kuchingites, how can there not be Laksa and Kolo Mee? Am I right? Which is why the first dishes that we would like to recommend here is these 2 iconic foods!

 

The Kolo Mee is of generous portion and with fragrant black pepper and scallion oil taste. Slurp the noodles coupled with the delicious minced meat? Satisfaction!

 

 

The Sarawak Laksa here is also recommended! It has the exact taste of a delicious bowl of our favourite laksa!

 

 

If you’re looking for a different taste, say Foochow delicacies, you can also find delicious Kompia, Kampua, and Foochow Mee Sua which will also make a satisfying breakfast and dinner! The taste of these Foochow foods will let you mistaken yourself to be at Sibu~! XD

 

 

When we was there the other day, we were honestly surprised with the number of foods prepared with claypot! For example, one that you should really try is this Claypot Noodle with very rich flavour to the soup and generous amount of ingredients! The same stall also offers delicious Claypot Porridge and the Claypot Tofu Soup which also have a generous amount of ingredients!

 

 

Also also, be sure not to miss the Bak Kut Teh that are available at the same stall! Because it is also as Delicious I’d say!

 

 

That’s all? Of course not! You can also find delicious Claypot Kacangma here! The Kacangma is as authentic as it can get! With soft and tender chicken meat cooked in fragrant soup with flavourful alcohol to bring out the best of the dish! While you’re here, make sure to also try out their Claypot Pork Leg Rice~

 

 

Oh ya! Speaking of pork, the Kueh Chap that they have here is also really nice! Even after you tapao the Kueh Chap and have it back home, it just taste as delicious as when it is fresh! Their Curry Rice is also highly recommended! The generous amounts of ingredients on top of the dish will satisfy you in every way possible~~

 

 

Next, we have the Ayam Penyet Budget which sells for only RM5!! Yes! Only RM5! The Special version of the dish only sells at RM8! Crazy cheap isn’t it? But if you think that just because it is cheap, it won’t taste well. Then you’re gravely mistaken because it taste just as heavenly!

 

 

NEXT, something even cheaper? Yes! It’s cheap, and also delicious! What is it? The Nasi Lemak Biasa and the Nasi Lemak Ayam! RM3 for Biasa and RM5 with added fried chicken? I cannot comprehend this. But! I can guarantee that they taste.. superbbbbbb~~

 

 

Other than that, be sure to try out this fragrant and Hot Plate Chicken Chop Rice! This dish will definitely surprise you as soon as the dish is served! Other than the generous amount of meats, the sauce given is also very generous, coupled with the perfect sunny side up? Awesome!

 

 

The same stall also offer this delicious pork (Daniel Kitchen's) Monster Burger! The burger patty is 100% homemade! ㄟ(≧∀≦ㄟ)

 

 

Another highly recommended foods at Happy Rich Kopitiam is the stir fried foods. One example is their famous Prawn Mee! A huge prawn is placed on top of the already delicious stir fried noodles… Other highly recommend dish includes the Bihun Ikan Bilis and the Cantonese Kueh Tiaw~~ These 3 dishes is one of the must haves at Happy Rich Kopitiam!
