【Kuching NEW Restaurant】San Pin Fan! Economical Fast Food in Aircon!

Ditulis oleh: Admin pada Jul 27, 2017

Like a lot of us who work nine to five away from home, I eventually started to miss my mother’s cooking but don’t have the time to cook for myself. If you are like me, San Pin Fan is the place to go. Because I eat out alot, economic fast food is my everyday choice since it is the affordable and well-balanced option. What more could I ask for? Aircon!

San Pin Fan is set up like a cafe, with air-conditioning and comfortable seating. The kitchen rolls out 20 to 30 dishes a day, with everything from meat, vegetables, tofu, eggs to a soup of the day. The varieties are really endless! Sometimes, they even serve seafood! At the counter, there are an assortment of sauces you can serve yourself. In the coming month, they will be introducing a new item to the menu, which their restaurant is named after, San Pin Fan. This is a two-person specialty rice set, so stay tuned!

The restaurant is opened all day until 8pm, so you can even get dinner here. Since it is newly opened, from now till 2nd August, you get free fruit with your meal!

With combos like one meat + one vegetable or one vegetable + one tofu is no more than RM5! These prices are a flat rate, stated on the menu on the wall, except for seafood which depends on the seasonal price. Some of the dishes you can choose from include: Soto Chicken, Kicap Chicken, Curry Chicken, Braised Tofu, Fuzhou Chicken with Red Rice Yeast, Black Pepper Pork, Kacang Ma Chicken, Mixed Vege, and much more!

The soup of the day when we came for lunch was the Slow-Cooked Pork Soup, and a must-eat when you visit. The soup is fragrant and thick in flavours from the long hours of low-flame simmering with pork ribs. To make it even more worth it, the soup is full of meat slices! We recommend dipping the meat in their special chili sauce, which is spicy and sour, and gives it an extra fresh taste.

A real standout dish is the Garlic Roasted Chicken Thigh, which is a special item! Topped with crunchy garlic, the meat is juicy and flavourful under its crispy skin. It is limited in quantity, so you gotta hurry!

Something pretty special is the Omelet with Diced Pickles here, which is cut like pizza slices! Fancy as it looks, it reminded me a lot of home. Each slice is an inch thick with a nice crust and a soft center and not oily at all. The eggy taste is complemented well with the salty pickles.

Other great picks are the Egg-Fried Bitter Gourd, Black Pepper Pork and Kacang Ma Chicken. Of course, like previously mentioned, there is such a wide array of dishes for you to choose from!
