[Stack Em’ Bowls High! @ Tuk Tuk Thai Boat Noodle]

Ditulis oleh: Admin pada Oct 6, 2018

Boat Noodles, also known as Kuaitiao Ruea (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวเรือ) in Thai, have been whetting appetites from small boats on the canals of central Thailand since 1942. To prevent spillage in uneven waters, boat chefs kept the portions small. Staying true to its origin, many restaurants have followed the similar path. So to satisfy your big appetite, just order as many bowls as you want and stack em’ up high once you’re done!

When Tuk Tuk Thai Boat Noodle first landed in Vivacity Megamall Kuching, locals and even tourists made a beeline for a taste of their authentic boat noodles. A brightly-lit and cozy restaurant, Tuk Tuk brings the feel of Thai streets into an indoor space. The decor is artistic, and made to look like customers are actually dining on the streets of Thailand! They even use wooden tables and chairs which add a nice vintage feel to the ambience.

Tuk Tuk’s boat noodle menu is simple. You can go for Egg Noodle or Kueh Teow with a choice of chicken or beef. For the soup flavors, they range from Laksa, Pak Lo, Tomyam, and Boat. Each bowl is piled with various of delicious ingredients. And to make your boat noodles even more flavorful, pour in some of their Thai Fish Sauce. Their boat noodle is priced at RM 1.90 per bowl. In case you’re new to this whole “Boat Noodle” experience, we suggest you to order 4 bowls per person. And having 4 bowls per person is not excessive as they are just small bowls of 1-2 mouthfuls of noodles. As there’s no saying how many bowls is enough, just keep ordering as many bowls as you like until you’re full! And don’t forget to stack the finished bowls up high! It’ll definitely give you that satisfaction like you accomplished some eating challenge.

Besides Boat Noodles, Tuk Tuk also serves plenty of mouthwatering dishes ranging from Deep Fried, Wok Fried, Grilled, Salad, and more. If you’re a big fan of spicy food, then you gotta try their Tom Yam Fried Rice. The flavors of the tom yam are beautifully infused into the rice with the other ingredients, making it not only vibrant in color, but aromatically pleasing as well. What’s more, Tuk Tuk is also known for their sinfully satisfying Deep Fried and Grilled dishes such as the Thai Chicken Wing, Thai Fish Cake, Fried Prawn Chip, Pandan Chicken, and Flarilled Ping Gai Chicken. Don’t be surprised if you end up addicted to them. We know we have. Plus, their Salad dish, the Glass Noodle Salad is a hit too!
