[New BKT Place! So Bak-ing Good!] @ 峰味肉骨茶 Feng Wei Bak Kut Teh

Ditulis oleh: Admin pada Jul 23, 2019

Bak Kut Teh (BKT) is a great comfort food to many of us. We have it for breakfast, on rainy nights, on days when we crave for something warm and comforting, and on days when we just want to indulge in porky goodness. While Kuching has plenty of BKT joints, we found a new place located in Saradise that serves pretty impressive bak kut teh.

A new kid on the block, ‘峰味肉骨茶 Feng Wei Bak Kut Teh’ will definitely hit the right spot with their bak kut teh. Absolutely tempting, their tantalizing bak kut teh with generous portions makes it affordable as well.

Feng Wei serves up two different types of bak kut teh: soup or dry. Unlike other BKT joints, Feng Wei’s light-colored soup has less herbal taste and more of the peppery type but tastes equally as good since the pork meat is tender. You can savor a rich, authentic flavor of bak kut teh from the soup as the meat is boiled till tender with its flavours all infused together inside the clay pot. As for the dry version, it consists of cooked slices of pork with black sticky sauce which has a nice sweet and savory taste to it that pairs well with their fragrant oil rice. For the soup or dry, you can have the option of choosing 3 types of meat.

Aromatic and flavorful, this Gong Bao Chicken is mandatory on your bucket list. Different from any other Gong Bao Chicken, you can actually taste “mala” flavors after a bite of the tender meat. Even non-“mala” eaters can handle this dish as the spiciness level is just right.

Another recommended dish would be their Braised Big Bone. This dish really fits for a king as it features an enormous leg bone larger than your fist. The meat is succulent and tasty which will leave you begging for more!
